Anurag defeats Sahaj Grover

Goa's Anurag Mhamal (ELO 2113) defeated
former World Under 10 Champion and FIDE
Master Sahaj Grover (ELO 2306) of New Delhi
in the fourth round of the Commonwealth Chess
Championships being played at Nagpur.

Anurag sacrificed a queen and won a hard fought
encounter in the Sicilian Defence with the black
pieces. He now has three points from a possible four
and next faces Australian International Master
Guy West (ELO 2342) in the fifth round.

There are altogether 11 rounds in this event. Anurag
is accompanied by his father Arvind Mhamal and coach
Akash Thakur who is also a participant in the same
tournament.
